Your Energy Type, or energetic aura, determines how you best appear in the world and is critical to unlocking your full potential and living authentically.

If life were a play, your Energy Type would be your role. Your Profile is the personality or character you bring to your role, such as investigative, introverted, experiential learner, extrovert, individualist, or role model. Your Incarnation Cross is the theme or energy behind your purpose, and the Gates are your storylines or script, each planet bringing a different flavor, such as what you like to communicate- (Mercury), what you value- (Venus), what drives you- (Moon), and so much more.

There are five energy types in Human Design, and each type has specific characteristics related to each type. 

• Not-Self: This is a signpost of what you feel when you are out of alignment with your authentic self.
• Signature: A signpost of what you may feel when living in alignment with your authentic self.
• Strategy: This is how you best make decisions, and I encourage you not to take my word for it but to experiment with your recommended approach to navigating your life so you can live in alignment with your unique design to maximize and attract opportunities, experiences, and synchronicities that are meant for you.
• Authority: This is your intuitive decision-making process. Human Design has several types of authority, each associated with a specific energy center in the body. There are seven kinds of authority depending on your unique energetic blueprint. 

Here’s a brief overview of each Type:

1. Manifestor: The Trailblazers

• Aura: Closed and Repelling

You are a trailblazer, an innovator, and an initiator. You aim to turn your inspirations into tangible realities by acting upon your creative impulses with unwavering determination. Your drive to manifest your visions inspires and energizes others with your unstoppable force. You possess a unique and impactful energy. You are a Pioneer who initiates and gets things started without needing external stimuli to take action.  You make up approximately 9% of the population.

• Not-Self theme/Signpost you are out of alignment: Anger. Manifestors experience anger when their actions are met with resistance or neglect to inform and feel controlled.
• Signature theme/Signpost you are in alignment: Peace. Manifestors find peace when they inform others before taking action and are allowed to initiate without interference.
• Strategy/Recommended approach or methodology: To Inform. Manifestors are encouraged to inform others about their intentions before taking action to avoid resistance.
• Authority: This is your decision-making process:
  Manifestors vary between three types of Authority depending on their unique energetic blueprints.
  
• Solar Plexus/Emotional Authority: You need emotional clarity before making decisions.
• Ego Authority: It helps to talk things out, and you will find clarity in your voice. Follow your heart!
• Splenic Authority: Subtle Intuitive Pings, “No’s” are often stronger than “yes’s.”

2.  Projector: The Natural Guides

• Aura: Focussed and Absorbing

You possess a natural ability to lead and motivate others, which enhances their efficiency and productivity. Your innate understanding of people allows you to empower individuals to achieve their full potential by reading their energy. You need to receive recognition and be invited to utilize your energy effectively. Recognition doesn’t always have to include the other; it’s about recognizing yourself too! You make up approximately 20% of the population.

• Not-Self theme/Signpost you are out of alignment: Bitterness. Projectors may feel bitter when they are not recognized or invited to share their wisdom.
• Signature theme/Signpost you are in alignment: Success. Projectors experience success when they are recognized and invited to use their energy effectively.
• Strategy/Recommended approach or methodology: Wait for an Invitation. Projectors are meant to make themselves seen and wait for recognition and invitations before giving advice or engaging in activities or roles.
• Authority: This is your decision-making process. Projectors have several types of Authority, depending on their unique, energetic blueprints.
• Solar Plexus/Emotional Authority: You need emotional clarity before making decisions.
• Ego/Self-Projected Authority: It helps to talk things out, and you will find clarity in your voice. Follow your heart.

• Environmental Authority: Decisions are dependent on how you feel in your environment.

• Aura: Open and Enveloping

You are an unstoppable force, constantly building and shaping the world around you. With an uninhibited passion that ignites your every move, you are driven to thrive in the work that you love. You have access to unlimited lifeforce energy, so be mindful of giving your energy away to things that do not light up your Sacral. You make up approximately 37% of the population. 

• Not-Self/Signpost you are out of alignment: Frustration. Generators experience frustration when they initiate or are not responding to life.
• Signature theme/Signpost you are in alignment: Satisfaction. When a Generator’s energy is correctly used by responding to what truly lights them up, they experience a deep sense of satisfaction.
• Strategy/Recommended approach or methodology: To Respond. Generators wait for something to appear in their outer world to respond to with their gut before acting.
• Authority: Decision-making process: Generators vary between two types of Authority depending on their unique energetic blueprints.
  
• Sacral: Follow your gut Instinct, and don’t let your mind override what your body tells you. 
• Solar Plexus/Emotional Authority: Follow your gut instinct with emotional clarity.

4. Manifesting Generator: The Multi-Taskers

• Aura: Open and Enveloping

You are an unstoppable force, consistently shaping and building the world around you with efficiency and determination. Your ability to multitask seamlessly empowers you to streamline processes, often bypassing unnecessary steps. You may have multiple passions, and it is correct for you to continually check in with your gut to see if your sacral is lit up with a YES. You make up approximately 33% of the population.

• A not-self theme is a signpost that you are out of alignment: frustration/Anger. Like Generators and Manifestors, Manifesting Generators experience frustration and anger when initiating and not informing before responding.
• Your Signature theme is a signpost you are living in alignment: Satisfaction/Peace. Like generators and Manifestors, MGs find satisfaction when they respond to what truly excites them and inform others so they aren’t met with resistance. 
• Strategy/Recommended approach or methodology: Respond and Inform. MGs share the strategy of generators, responding to what comes their way, but they should also inform others before taking action to avoid resistance.
• Authority: Decision-making process: MGs vary between two types of Authority depending on their unique energetic blueprints.
  
• Sacral: Follow your gut Instinct, and don’t let your mind override what your body tells you. 
• Solar Plexus/Emotional Authority: Follow your gut instinct with emotional clarity.

Waiting for a lunar cycle before making significant decisions would be best for you. You make up approximately 1 % of the population. 

• Not-Self theme/Out of alignment: Disappointment. Reflectors may feel disappointed when their environment could be more harmonious.
• Signature theme/In alignment: Surprise. Reflectors experience the signature of surprise when they find themselves in a healthy and supportive environment.
• Strategy/Recommended approach or methodology: Wait a Lunar Cycle. Reflectors are encouraged to wait approximately 28 days (an entire lunar cycle) before making significant decisions.
• Authority: Decision-making process. Reflectors have Lunar Authority.
